St. James Father's Club Donation

The Saint James Father’s Club will be donating 2,000 dollars for the use of Chromebooks for the school, and 700 dollars for a smartboard projector. The fathers club is being EXTREMELY generous, for this donation, and hopefully they know that the students are VERY grateful

“The Bridge”

There are many homeless people in the World. Many of them end up dying and we should not let that happen. There’s a bridge in Bridgeport where many homeless people live. People are collecting toiletry items on the seventh grade, December 5 mass. Toiletry items are items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap. This is a very important cause that people should care about. We think that a tube of toothpaste isn’t much, but to those people who don’t have a home like we do, it means a lot. Please keep the homeless in your prayers.

Vicki Soto 5K Run

The First Annual Vicki Soto 5K will be fun for the entire family.  This took place on November 2, 2013. This family fun walk/run will took place through the picturesque Lordship section of Stratford, Vicki's home town.  In honor of Vicki's passion for education, the Vicki Soto Memorial Fund has been established.  The money raised for this fund will be used to support students that desire to go into the field of education.  We want to continue Vicki's passion and help it grow in future educators.  A few seventh grade girls named Julianna Santiago, Sofia Santiago, Mikaela Puzzo, Allie Boursiquot, and Bianca Espejo made some rainbow loom bracelets for our St. James Newtown Junior Action Alliance.
